2012 NAIAS: MINI Roadster
If there was a common theme at the North American International Auto Show, it was that automakers are no longer shy about introducing a convertible in brisk January. MINI joined both Mercedes-Benz and Porsche in unveiling an open air vehicle with a vehicle they have simply named the MINI Roadster.
The Roadster is different from the MINI Convertible in that it is a based on the two seat Coupe rather than the (barely) four passenger Hardtop. Quite predictably, the Roadster will be offered in three models: Cooper, Cooper S, and 208 hp John Cooper Works.
